    Vests

A stylish, fitted vest is the perfect addition to a suit. Whether it's part of a three-piece and made with the same fabric to match the pants and jacket, or you've opted for something different to create a contrast between your white shirt and jacket, a well-tailored vest adds style and formality to your look. A suit with a vest is the perfect choice for a formal event like a wedding, black-tie dinner or prom.

From subtle charcoal to elegant blue, and versatile grey to sophisticated black, we stock men's vests in a wide selection of styles, fits, and colors to work with any outfit for any occasion.

    Vest Cuts & Fits

As with our suits, we offer vests in a range of fits to complete any look. From single-breasted to double-breasted and woven in fabrics such as wool, polyester, cotton and more, we have a wide collection to choose from.

    Classic Fit Vests

A classic fit vest is sometimes known as a traditional or regular fit, and it's the most comfortable, versatile and timeless you can buy. Cut slightly loose around the torso, they allow movement, breathability and comfort. A must-have for any man's wardrobe.

    Slim-Fit Vests

A slim-fit vest is cut very close to the torso and is perfect for creating a suave, svelt and contemporary look. The slim form sits close to the body and is the go-to choice for those who choose to dress to impress. As it's crafted more tightly, a slim-fit vest is best suited to slender or lean men.

    Tailored-Fit Vests

A tailored-fit vest fits between traditional and slim-fit cuts. The tailored-fit combines comfort and contemporary style with an eye-catching look that's perfect for a range of occasions from casual to formal. Pair a tailored-fit vest with smart jeans, shoes, and a white shirt to create a semi-casual look that's great for the office and for a night out.

    Vests for Special Occasions

The addition of a vest takes any suited look to the next level. Whether it's for a wedding, a prom, a black-tie dinner or any other formal event, a classic three-piece suit is the utmost in eye catching style.

For a wedding, especially if you're in the wedding party, it's common for all the men's vests to match. To add a bit of color to a suit, and to create some consistency with the bridesmaids, some people choose to wear a vest that matches their dresses. However, a three-piece with all matching colors can look equally as stylish and sophisticated. For a country wedding, why not opt for a tweed version with a subtle check, or for a smart suit that can be worn everywhere, choose a versatile color such as grey, charcoal or navy blue.

If you're attending a white tie event, you may be looking for a Marcella pique vest. These white, backless vests are an essential part of the outfit and will ensure you always look the part. A little side note on etiquette.. the 3 buttons must always remain fastened!

    Men's Vests FAQs

    How should a vest fit?

A well-tailored vest should fit snugly to the body, but not so tight that the buttons pull. Most men's vests have an adjustable "cinch" on the lower back to ensure it always fits perfectly. A vest should also fully cover the waistband of the pants without letting any fabric show between the two. This means that length is critical. It's perfectly acceptable to leave the lowest button undone for more comfort and flexibility.

    How to tighten a vest?

Put on the vest and button it up to get an idea of the fit. For the correct suited look, you'll need around 2.5cm or an inch of breathing room. Lay the vest face down and pass the loose end of the cinch through the buckle. The right-hand side of the belt should always go above the left. Put the vest back on and tighten the cinch until you get the correct fit.

Is your vest size the same as the jacket?

Men's vests are sized via the wearer's chest, so you should order the same size vest as you would for your jacket. The only exception to this is if your stomach is larger than your chest, in which case you should go for a size up.

We also recommend that vests have the same cut as the pants and jacket i.e. slim-fit or tailored-fit etc.
